Options & Accessories FAQ’s

1. What types of doors do you offer?

We offer everything from economical metal building doors to premium residential-style entry doors.

Options include:

·      Self-framing metal walk doors

·      Residential fiberglass or steel entry doors

·      Roll-up doors

·      Sectional overhead garage doors

·      Insulated garage doors

·      Automatic door openers

We'll help you choose the best option based on how the building will be used.

2. What window options are available?

We can install everything from economical metal building windows to residential windows designed for homes and barndominiums.

Window selection depends on:

·      Building use

·      Energy efficiency goals

·      Appearance

·      Natural lighting

·      Ventilation

·      Budget

We can also help determine the best window placement before construction begins.

3. Is insulation worth the investment?

For most enclosed buildings, absolutely.

Insulation helps:

·      Reduce summer heat transfer

·      Improve comfort year-round

·      Reduce condensation

·      Lower heating and cooling costs

·      Make the building quieter during rain

·      Protect stored equipment and belongings

We'll recommend insulation options based on how you plan to use the building.

4. Can plumbing and electrical be installed during construction?

Yes.

Planning these items before construction often saves both time and money.

We can coordinate:

·      Underground plumbing

·      Water lines

·      Sewer lines

·      Electrical service

·      Conduit installation

·      Stub-outs for future bathrooms or kitchens

·      Floor drains (when applicable)

Thinking ahead during the design phase can prevent expensive modifications later.

5. Can I add accessories later?

Some items can be added after construction, but others are much easier—and often less expensive—to install while the building is being built.

Items such as insulation, plumbing rough-ins, electrical rough-ins, overhangs, and certain framing details are typically best planned from the beginning.

6. What options are most popular?

The most commonly selected upgrades include:

·      R-10 insulation

·      Roll-up doors

·      Self-framing 3070 Walk Doors

·      Self-framing 6030 Windows

·      Covered porches and lean-tos

·      Roof ventilation

·      Gutters and downspouts

·      Plumbing and electrical rough-ins for future expansion

We'll help prioritize these options based on how you plan to use the building and your budget, so you can invest in the upgrades that provide the most value.

If there's any chance you'll want an option in the future, let us know during the design process. Even if you don't install it immediately, we may be able to prepare the building so it's easier to add later.

Our

Approach

At GCC, we don't believe in selling customers more building than they need…unless you absolutely insist. After all, options and accessories are they key to customization.

Sometimes we'll recommend adding features because they'll improve long-term value. Other times we'll suggest removing features that don't provide enough benefit for the investment.

Our goal is simple: help you get the best value for your budget without compromising quality.
