Our Process

"I’m just starting to think about building. What’s the process?"

Whether you're just starting to gather information or you're ready to build, here's what you can expect when working with Golden Crescent Construction.

1. Initial Conversation

Everything starts with a conversation, and conversation is key to scope development. Reach us by phone at 361-573-5775, email at info@gccbuildings.com, web request at https://www.gccbuildings.com/contact, or visit our office at 724 Burroughsville Rd. in Victoria.

We'll learn about your project, answer your questions, discuss your goals, and gather the information needed to prepare an estimate.

2. Estimate & Proposal

If you just need very rough pricing to know whether this is even something you can move forward with, we will try to give you preliminary pricing to get you in the ballpark.

If you want it proceed, we then “build” your custom project on paper first so we can provide a more accurate estimate based on your specific needs, rather than a generic price.

We'll review the proposal together and make any changes needed to fit your priorities and budget. Tip: Knowing your budget up front allows us to spend our time designing the best project for you, instead of spending time redesigning it after the first estimate.

3. Contract & Scheduling

Once you're ready to move forward, we'll complete the contract, collect the required deposit, start pre-construction phase, and place your project on our construction schedule.

4. Pre-Construction Site Visit

Before construction begins (typically 1-2 weeks prior), we'll meet you at the jobsite to finalize the building location

During this visit, we'll:

·      Stake the building location

·      Verify access for equipment

·      Check elevations and drainage

·      Identify any site conditions that could affect construction

If additional site preparation is needed beyond what was originally quoted, we'll discuss the options with you before any work is performed.

After the site visit, we'll contact Texas 811 to have underground utilities located before excavation begins.

5. Foundation

Once utilities have been marked and the site is ready, we'll begin foundation work according to your project specifications.

6. Building Construction

With the foundation complete, construction begins.

Our crews install the structural steel, roof, wall panels, trim, doors, windows, and other selected options. If your project has an interior finish, it will proceed after the shell is dried in.

7. Final Walk-Through

When construction is complete, we'll walk the project with you to make sure everything meets expectations, answer any questions, and review warranty and maintenance information. Now it’s time to enjoy your building!
